The bill now heads to the Governor for approval. Attorney General Unveils OMA Training Electronic training by the Illinois Attorney Generals office for FOIA and OMA officers is now available on the AG's website. The Attorney General's Open Government page details access for the training. Attorney General's Rulemaking Regarding FOIA and OMA The Attorney General issued a rulemaking concerning actions by the Public Access Counselor (PAC) under Public Act 96-542. The rulemaking establishes electronic-training requirements for Freedom of Information Officers and designates trainees under the OMA. FOIA Model Ordinance The Illinois Municipal League is providing a sample ordinance for FOIA compliance under Public Act 96-542.
